Yoga therapy is the application of yoga practices to help alleviate physical and mental health conditions with the view of promoting self-care and encouraging overall wellbeing. The use of specific yoga practices according to their known benefits can help ease or improve mental and physical ailments, empowering the client with tools to improve wellbeing.
A yoga therapeutic approach can be useful for those dealing with (but not limited to): anxiety and depression, perimenopause and menopause, cancer, chronic pain, back pain, stroke rehabilitation, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, COPD, asthma, fibromyalgia, heart conditions, insomnia and more.
