BreakingRecords Fitness can now confirm they are hosting a Couch to 5k for 6 Weeks to help you learn as an introduction to running your first 5k. This course will suit you if you are a complete beginner or you want to step up your endurance training, for example intervals, sprints, fartlek, hills, which will be covered and is available from 10 years old upwards including over 18 years of age (Youths and Adults).
Liam (Founder of #BreakingRecords Fitness) is a qualified REPs Level 4 Strength and Conditioning Coach and Youth Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Liam would like to bring this course to you all as this will be inclusive for everyone to run with new technique exercises to improve on your running mechanics in general or for those with sports specific goals. Please be advised from outside the box, you will need to fill in a short questionnaire on your specific goals so that a tailor made Couch to 5k will be sent to you to complete during 6-8 weeks.
The Couch to 5k is from 6:30-8:00pm, 6 weeks consecutively over Mondays throughout Spring (8th April to 20th May - excludes Bank Holidays) and has a limit of 15 people. This will be taking place at Necton Playing Field, along with various locations if we are going to do specific sessions such as Hills, Track, Sand, etc. All this will be communicated in due course for the final confirmation.
Prices for our Couch 2 5k are as follows:
Youth Ages 10-17 years old - £50
Adults over 18 years old - £65
Please be advised that we need a minimum set numbers for this course to go ahead, otherwise in the worse case scenario would be to cancel if this cannot be achieved. Alternatively if should this be cancelled, Fitness Classes in the evenings will be an alternative as Plan B with a week's notice. See our Terms and Conditions on the website as well as the Booking Confirmation Page. Unfortunately we are not offering PAYG for the time being. Discounts for group bookings are also available on request such as siblings or parent and child both taking part. Including Blue Light Card Holders!
Members of #BreakingRecords Fitness on Yearly Membership only will be able to book at a £10 discounted rate* or if brought the Monthly Class Pass for March will be a £25 discount for the course*. Please note the price will exclude our Merchandise T-Shirt or Vest, which you can upgrade for just £10 with your booking (please see our Merchandise website for more information - www.breakingrecordsfitness.co.uk/merchandise) - without having the T-Shirt or Vest to upgrade and you wish to order one during the Couch 2 5k, you'll be able to purchase one with a 10% Discount at anytime until Friday 31st May.
NEW - Personal Training is also optional as part of a package with the Couch 2 5k which you will be able to have the opportunity of having 1:1 Sessions as extra during the 6 Week course. Alternatively, we can offer ad-hoc basis on 1:1's or Small Group Training sessions during the 6 Week Couch 2 5k at a discounted rate from between Tuesday 9th April to Sunday 26th May. We anticipate that spaces will fill before the event so it advisable for you to book as early as possible, the deadline to book is 1 week before it is due to start (Monday 1st April at 5pm). We reserve the right close bookings early if the event does get fully booked in advance.
Photo/Video release form will be available for consent to promote future Camps/Workshops/Courses for our Strength and Conditioning services!
