12 week OTAGO Falls Prevention Programme

Our 12 week programme is for people who have had a fall or feel that they are at risk of falling. It consists of weekly classes with a qualified instructor alongside twice weekly homework sessions (we provide an instruction manual).

The programme is made up of 17 strength and balance exercises which participants do 3 times a week. The programme must be maintained for life to keep the benefits. Participants are encouraged to take daily walks once they have built the strength and confidence to do so. This programme needs to be booked in advance.
