Able2B camp is specifically for children with Special Education Needs aged 4-16.

If your child has complex needs and requires 1:1 support to participate in BNHF sessions, it is important that we are aware of this as early as possible. Whilst Able2B cannot provide this level of support, we are aware that funding is available to provide children who need it with 1:1 support.  We will work with parent/carers and schools to try and secure the resource needed. We recognise it can be challenging to secure the right support, hence the importance of knowing your child requires this level of support as early as possible. If we are unable to source your child a 1:1, unfortunately your place at camp is not guaranteed.

Able2B is committed to being as inclusive as possible, so please talk to us about any concerns you have about your child taking part. We have a responsibility to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children taking part, as well as our staff, so identifying the need to put in place additional support for children is important as part of managing behaviour such as hitting, kicking, punching, spitting or self-harm. It may be helpful to know that if you have a Personal Assistant funded through Norfolk County Council Short Breaks then they can be funded to provide your child with the support they need to be able to participate in BNHF sessions..

If you are a new attendee we will arrange a phone call to discuss your childs needs.

Each week, there will be 4 days provision provided at Harford Manor School by the Able2B team to include all activities, equipment and administration throughout the camp.

The camp will include a selection of 4-5 adapted activities (one quiet time/craft/sensory activity to be included), running throughout the day, each overseen by an ‘Activity Lead’. Each child will have further supervision on a 1:2/1:3 ratio depending on need. Each child can move around activities at their own pace and take part in the activities of their choice. Break for lunch will be 30 minutes.

Activities can include; arts and crafts, musical instruments, reading, bike riding, swings, football, basketball, climbing area, park, as well as some group games such as hide n seek, bulldog and more. These are lead by our young volunteer team but overseen by experienced staff.
