COMMUNITY CHORUS Workshops & Rehearsals: Local Women Invited to Join Our Community Chorus for "TAMED or It's Hard To Get A Real Horse"

Would you like to take part in the creation and performance of a new theatre production  TAMED or It's Hard To Get A Real Horse, which will premiere at St. George's Theatre in Great Yarmouth July 10th - 13th 2024.


This show includes an all-female cast in a re-imagining of Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew. The actors will play the character of Kate and take turns to present versions of the ‘Tamed’ and ‘Untamed’ woman. 


Flight is looking for 20 local women to join the Community Chorus for the production.


The Community Chorus will also be playing and dressed as Kate, and will join the actors on stage at various points of the show. We are playing with the idea of the collective and the ensemble and the community chorus will play a key part in supporting this narrative.


As a people-responsive project, we also want to integrate local female voices, experiences, perspectives and personalities into the show – as stories and as and designed elements such as props and costume.


The dates included here are for the Workshops and Rehearsals. Show times for all participating in the performance are as follows:

Friday 12th July 5.30pm – 8pm

Saturday 13th July 1pm – 4pm (matinee)

Saturday 13th  6pm – 9pm
